Check out some of the Scholastic book trailers - yum.

Two days left to get your fav book(s).  See you at the fair ...

Book fair closes at 3pm Thu., Dec. 6th, 2018.  More adult and youth pack-up volunteers would be lovely.

Festival du Livre, Day 1, $523 Net

Great start to sales post Thanksgiving long weekend - soooo tough to remember anything let alone the start of the book fair!

We made $523 (net) today and we have a goal of possibly $3000 (net) sales so we can earn 60% back in Scholastic credit.  Nevertheless, $3000 in three days, may be too lofty.  So let's do the best we can and have fun buying yumy French books.

9:45-10am little recess
11:45-12:15 Big recess
2:05-4pm Wed and until 3pm Thu

Mme M-A is still looking for parent volunteers for cashier help and Thursday, 3pm clean up and pack up.  Contact her at smurrell@sd83.bc.ca.

Merci beaucoup.

Every Second Counts - Don't Wait to Get Out!

National Fire Protection Association Writes:

  • Draw a map of your home by using our grid in English (PDF) or Spanish (PDF) with all members of your household, marking two exits from each room and a path to the outside from each exit.
  • Practice your home fire drill twice a year. Conduct one at night and one during the day with everyone in your home, and practice using different ways out.
  • Teach children how to escape on their own in case you can’t help them.
  • Make sure the number of your home is clearly marked and easy for the fire department to find.
  • Close doors behind you as you leave – this may slow the spread of smoke, heat, and fire.
  • Once you get outside, stay outside. Never go back inside a burning building.
