Best Books for Early Readers - Moving from Picture Books to Chapter Books

Cheer on Salmon Arm's Natalie Wilkie Representing Canada in Cross-country Skiing, Paralympics, PyeongChang, Korea




As many of you know one of our students, Natalie Wilkie of Salmon Arm will be representing Canada in cross-country skiing at the Paralympics in PyeongChang, Korea in March.

To support her, everyone is invited to write a note to her and drop it off anytime between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Piccadilly Mall on March 2, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 3. Tables at the Mall & Askews will have note paper and pens.
If you wish to write a letter please email to: bestwishesnatalie@gmail.com.
Uptown Askews will also be accepting notes on March 3 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Two Students from Raymer Elementary, Kelowna, BC Interviewed by CBC Radio for Black History Month

Grade 6 students from Raymer Elenentary decided to share their learning about Black History Month with their friends and peers.  Listen below at the 1:30:15 mark to 1:35:40 for the five minute interview:
