Internet Safety & Critical Thinking

ONLINE CRITICAL THINKING

Valid vs Fake Information/News
We all must use the internet "critically."   One approach and acronym to critically investigate web pages you visit is to use the "CRAAP" method.

This may be a silly sounding acronym but it helps you remember a powerful way to make sure what you look at and read on the internet is quality material.

Information Literacy:

Academic definition, but very good; grade 5 and up (5:36)

ONLINE SAFETY

Who are you "talking to" online?  Sometimes websites (&/or social media) are interactive.  Thus, website critical thinking involves the above "CRAAP" test, and also knowing who you choose to talk to.

The best motto is to only talk to people you ALREADY KNOW IN PERSON!
